HOW TO DRAW MANGA FACES

So, you want to learn how to draw manga? I can teach you. You can watch the video or keep reading this post if you prefer reading.

If you just starting out and a complete beginner, you have to start with the basic guidelines. Even i still use guidelines even after so many years drawing. Artist usually develop muscle memory and can picture the guidelines in their head, so they don't need them anymore. But for me, my drawing are better when i use the guidelines. Whenever i draw without guidelines somehow the eyes looks wrong, the lips its not right in the middle and other problem.

So, here is how to draw basic guidelines

Guidelines

1. Draw a rough circle (head)
   
2. Draw a vertical line in the middle of the circle (middle line)
   
3. Draw a horizontal line under the circle along the middle line (jawline)
   
4. Draw a point/small line under the jawline (chin)
   
5. Draw a line to connect the side of the circle with the jawline
   
6. Draw a line from the jawline to the chin
   
7. You have the guidelines for the head and face now
   
8. Then you can have fun try to fill the face with nose, lips, eyes, eyebrow, ears, hairs, neck and shoulders
